With more than 30 years of fundraising counsel and development experience, Richard Taylor has been intimately involved in all aspects of the advancement operations of nonprofit organizations. Through broad and diverse experience, he has learned and consequently counseled the organizations he has served, that the most important factor in successful fundraising - indeed, in the success of the entire organization - is leadership. A compelling case, a service-driven mission that uniquely addresses a recognized need, and credible promotional materials - all are important to generating meaningful and significant charitable support. For a fundraising program to achieve full potential, however - and thereby transform the lives of those served - it is paramount that volunteer leaders with influence, affluence and access serve as advocates for the mission of the organization, carry the promotional materials and generously support the effort financially.
